The garden is l…

The garden is lovely.  The warmth of the day released the tangy smell of tomatoes and the two artichoke plants reveal three perfect, green artichokes.  Twenty-five corn ears are listening for intruders and friends alike.  The sunflower plant stands tall and with a pinched face is trying to look out over the back fence.  Bright yellow flowers on the zucchini plants show that they have been pollinated, for some of the flowers are pregnant with a tiny green bump showing.

Nicole and I tested the soil by the morning glories and discovered that the Ph level is 6.5.  Perfect.  A dog named Scout came to visit with his owner.  The border collie greeted us with a wet tennis ball.

I feel the surprise and admiration from visitors to Pine Grove.  The garden plants feel it also.  Oh, and, of course, the corn’s ears hear the praises and are wanting to pop for joy.
